CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Two people suffered gunshot wounds in an incident Sunday afternoon on 11th St. NW, according to Charlottesville Police.

Officers responded to a report of shots being fired around 4 p.m. Sunday in the area of 11th St. NW and Grady Ave. They arrived to find two people injured and multiple casings on 11th.

“At this time, based on preliminary information, we do not believe this was a random incident,” CPD announced. “Expect a large police presence in the area as the scene is processed and the incident is investigated.”
