Man has been charged with sexual assault involving a juvenile

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – A Ruckersville man has been arrested for sexual abuse involving a teen.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office arrested Anthony Wayne Ryder for aggravated sexual battery with a child between 13 – 17 years of age last Thursday. The arrest followed a report of sexual abuse of a juvenile four days earlier.

Ryder is currently being held at the Central Virginia Regional Jail without bond.

The Greene County Sheriff’s Office is strongly urging parents to have a conversation with their children.
