Hoos QB Chandler Morris on Coach’s Corner with Tony Elliott

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – The University of Virginia announced new Cavaliers quarterback Chandler Morris will join with football coach Tony Elliott on “Coach’s Corner with Tony Elliott,” Elliott’s Tuesday night radio show.

The program can be heard on NewsRadio 98.9/AM1070 WINA and at the CvilleRightNow.com “Listen Live” link.

Morris, a North Texas transfer, will make his UVA debut Saturday night when the Cavaliers’ kickoff their season at home against Coastal Carolina. The Highland Park, Texas native started all 13 games at UNT last season and ranked inside the Top 10 nationally in completions per game (3rd – 26.83/gm), passing touchdowns (4th – 31), total offense (4th – 334.7), passing yards (5th – 3,774), passing yards per game (5th – 314.5).

Prior to North Texas, he played at Oklahoma and TCU. Morris’s father, Chad, and Elliott coached together at Clemson with Elliott become the Tigers’ offensive coordinator when Morris left to coach at SMU. Chandler has landed on multiple national preseason watch lists, including the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm, Davey O’Brien and Maxwell Awards.

Fans can also attend in-person as this week’s show will be held at Milkman’s Bar at the Dairy Market. Each show edition may vary in location that will be announced the day of the show.
