HENRICO COUNTY, VA – (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Henley Middle School Principal LaRuth Ensley has been acquitted of an assault and battery charge in Henrico County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.

It was one of two charges filed against Ensley in May. Abusing a child resulting in injury was dropped in August. Acquittal of assault and battery of a family member occurred on Monday, October 7, 2024.

Ensley’s attorney, Joshua Ellis, tells The Daily Progress that his client looks forward to returning to Henley Middle School.

Albemarle County Public Schools, however, says Ensley remains on administrative leave as the district looks at the next steps.
