CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – A Waynesboro woman who tested positive for THC and meth after a fatal head-on February 25 crash in a Waynesboro school zone has pleaded guilty to five charges in a plea deal.

31-year old Brianca Elaine Estes admits to aggravated involuntary manslaughter, a count of DWI on drugs, and three counts of DWI causing serious injury.

Court documents reveal Estes was driving a 2012 Chevy Tahoe westbound on Hopeman Parkway at 70 miles-an-hour through a 25 miles-an-hour school zone when she crossed the centerline and crashed head-on into a Honda CR-V, killing 31-year old Brittany Jean Comer.

Two children in Comer’s CR-V suffered injuries, and Estes’ wife as a passenger in the Tahoe was also seriously hurt.

She’ll be sentenced December 8.
