CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – After interruption by recent snowy weather, the City of Charlottesville is resuming curbside leaf collections on a revised schedule.

A city release declared Round 1 zone collections resume Dec. 17 through Dec. 26 followed by days of collections from Zones B, C, and D through Jan. 16.

The second round starts Jan. 19 with Zone A and goes through all the zones until Feb. 13.

City Public Works said in the release, “We appreciate your patience as our staff returns to normal service after recent weather operations.”

The city uses vacuum trucks to collect the leaves so rake the leaves to the curbside all by themselves.

Bags and containers will not be collected.

Questions can be directed to the City’s Public Works Department at 434-970-3830 or pwinfo@charlottesville.gov.
