Body found in Lake Anna Saturday afternoon

LAKE ANNA, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – A body was found floating in Lake Anna over the weekend. The report of came in to Spotsylvania County Sheriff at roughly 2:15 p.m. Saturday. At the request of Spotsylvania County, Louisa County Sheriff’s deputies, detectives and other resources arrived just after the body was recovered.

The body was that of a woman, and is now in the hands of Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy and identification. The Louisa County Sheriff’s Office has been actively searching for an individual who is believed to have possibly drowned further up-lake in May.
