Missing Augusta County teen found safe

UPDATE: Journey Rubino has been found safe.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – The Augusta County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help in locating a runaway juvenile who went missing Thursday morning.

Journey Josephine Rubino was last seen in Staunton at around 9:30 a.m.

She’s a 17-year-old White female who stands 5-foot-5, weighs 135 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes.

According to The Aware Foundation, she left Grace Christian Academy at around 9:30, after which she withdrew money from a Staunton bank.

She was wearing jeans, a pink sweater and white sneakers.

Anyone who has any information is asked to call the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office at 540-245-5333.
