ACFR responds to early morning structural fire

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW)- Albemarle County Fire Rescue rescued a person from a structure fire early Monday morning.

ACFR responded to a reported structural fire at approximately 3:30 a.m. Monday in the 100 block of Scarborough Place. Units arrived to find smoke and fire emanating from the middle town home unit of three.

All other occupants had already evacuated safely without injury. The person one was removed from the structure with the help of firefighters without sustaining any injury.   

Three townhomes sustained damage because of the blaze, and two displayed residents are being assisted by the red cross.   

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
