CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA-WINA- Virginia pitcher Brian Edgington had a complete game performance on the mound to lead Virginia to a 12-2 win over Duke and earn the sixth bid the College World Series in program history.  For the second game in a row Virginia was red hot offensively, scoring five runs in the second inning and four more in the sixth inning to take a 9-2 lead on their way to a 10-run victory.  It’s a remarkable accomplishment for a team that went undefeated in non-conference play after bringing 20 new players to the roster in the offseason.

Next, Virginia will begin play in the College World Series starting next week, and once again they will be in a double elimination format.  WINA will carry every minute of the action on your home of the Hoos.
