Shooting at Mallside Forest Apartments

CHARLOTTESVILLE (WINA) – Albemarle police are investigating a shooting Sunday night in the Mallside Forest Apartments. Police got the call of shots fired around 9:30 Sunday night to the 800 block of Mallside Forest Court. Officers arrived and found one person hurt — who was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say this is considered an isolated incident with no threat to the community.
This is an active investigation and anyone who knows anything is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 977-4000.
