RWSA sets up five special collections days at the Ivy MUC

CHARLOTTESVILLE (WINA) – The Rivanna Solid Waste Authority will host five days of special collections for residents to dispose of household hazardous waste and other items starting next week. Household hazardous waste days will happen at the Ivy MUC on Dick Woods Road next Friday, September 22 and Saturday, September 23 from 9am-to-2pm.

Then the following three Saturdays will be special collections of specific items.

Saturday, September 30 you can bring by furniture and mattresses; October 7 is appliances; and October 14 is tires. Drop-off times for those Saturdays are 8:30am-to-4pm

Household residents in Albemarle and Charlottesville can go without appointment and at no charge to drop these items there.
