ESPN Radio 1450 WVAX, a sister station to WINA Radio under the umbrella of the Charlottesville Radio Group is now broadcasting on an FM signal.  ESPN Radio will now also be heard on 103.1 FM, giving local sports fans a much stronger signal to listen to the World Wide Leader in sports coverage.  The new signal will carry all of 1450 WVAX’s programming, including play by play and local and national sports talk.

ESPN Radio 103.1 and 1450 is the area’s only full time sports station.  Charlottesville Radio Group President Jim Principi released the following statement.  ” Certainly we are very excited to give our loyal listeners even greater access to their favorite sports programming locally.  We have a community that is passionate about sports, and we believe this will be a great way for our listeners to experience sports radio in Charlottesville.”
