CHARLOTTESVILLE (WINA) – If you want a dog, this weekend is the time to visit the Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA where an adoption of an adult dog will cost significantly less than usual. CASPCA says their shelter is at full capacity for adult dogs, and they resultantly are offering reduced adoption fees through Sunday for dogs more than 1-years old. Usually the fee is $200 to adopt an adult dog… but right now it’s $25. In addition, all animals included in the “special” will be spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and microchipped… which normally costs $435.

They’re open for walk-in appointments noon-to-6pm through Sunday. You can also schedule appointments by sending an email to “adoptions@caspca.org”.

And you can click here to see all the dogs available for adoption.
