Winter Created Nightmares For VDOT’s Snow Budget Managers

The numbers are in on the cost of having a snowier than normal winter. VDOT says the price tag might be nearly twice the size of Virginia’s $157 million dollar snow removal budget. It could be worse. VDOT’s counterpart in Maryland estimates it will spend more than $130 million dollars, obliterating its $46 million budget.
