State Climatologist Assesses Winter of 2014

Virginia welcomed spring early Thursday afternoon, and many local residents say it’s about time. State climatologist Jerry Stenger says this has been the 21st snowiest winter since record-keeping began 120 years ago at UVA’s McCormick Observatory.  It’s also been the 23rd coldest winter.
