Poll: Virginians Have Little Interest In Medicaid Expansion Issue

There’s been a lot of talk in the news lately about expanding Medicaid enrollment and the ongoing fight in the General Assembly. Virginians couldn’t care less, according to a survey by Quinnipiac University. Only 4%  says Medicaid should be the top priority of Governor McAuliffe and state lawmakers. They say the major concern should be improving the state economy and the job market. Another 9% say health care should receive top billing. Governor McAuliffe’s approval rating is at 44%, but 57% say they’re optimistic about the new governor’s term.
