There are new details on the city’s first homicide of the year. Police say 22-year-old Antwan Terrell Roberts and 30-year-old Antonio Washington had a fight on the morning of May 10th at the Alhamraa Restaurant in the old Frank Ix building. Investigators have told a judge 19-year-old Taneak Turner stabbed Washington, who died a short time later. Roberts (pictured) faces a charge of being an accessory after the fact. Turner is facing a first degree murder charge, and he appeared in court Thursday thanks to a video hookup. His case has been continued.
The Los Angeles City Council voted unanimously on Tuesday to pursue a bid to bring the Summer Games to town in 2024 and become the only city besides London ever to host the Olympics three times.
