Incumbent U.S. Senator Mark Warner (D- Alexandria) has agreed to appear in eight joint public forums with Republican rival Ed Gillespie. Two will get shown on TV, and both take place less than a month before the November 4th general election. Those are the October 7th forum sponsored by the Fairfax Chamber of Commerce, and the other is an October 13th event in Richmond sponsored by the League of Women Voters and AARP. The other appearances will be in Newport News, Virginia Beach, Danville, Roanoke and the D.C. suburbs.
