June 12th Will Be Last Day Of Classes In Albemarle

Albemarle school kids and parents can circle Thursday, June 12th on their calendars. The County School Board has designated that as the last day of classes for this year. Assistant Superintendent Matt Haas contacted a policy chief at the Virginia Department of Education. Haas asked her if Albemarle could request a waiver from the state because it’s missed ten snow days??¬†With the exception of Charlottesville, the school divisions that border Albemarle have missed more snow days this year.
