The Republican-controlled House of Delegates approved a new state budget Tuesday night, and it does¬†not have money to expand the Medicaid program. House members tried to deliver a copy to the State Senate, but there was nobody in that chamber. Delegate Ken Plum of Reston was among 31 Democrats who voted against the GOP spending plan. Plum has accused Republicans are trying to pull stunts.¬†House Speaker Bill Howell (pictured) and other Republicans have scolded Governor McAuliffe and General Assembly Democrats for their stance on Medicaid. The State Senate, where a majority of the members favor Medicaid expansion, won’t return to Richmond until April 7th.
