Group Battling UVA Over E-mails Expects Ruling Soon

A libertarian group that’s demanding to see some e-mails involving former University of Virginia environmental scientist Michael Mann expects a decision soon from the Virginia Supreme Court. Chris Horner (pictured) of the Energy and Environmental Institute has battled the University for years on this issue. Horner says people should be able to monitor the spending habits of public colleges. He says media outlets that have liberal reputations, including the Washington Post and National Public Radio, have been allies in this fight. UVA has resisted sharing the e-mails from Mann, who taught at UVA from 1999 to 2005. Mann also had a long-running battle with former Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli. Horner was a Tuesday guest on the Schilling Show.
