Governor McAuliffe has demanded a review of abortion clinic regulations that went into effect last year. Under the regulations, existing facilities must meet the same building standards as newly constructed hospitals. Supporters say they are intended to protect women’s health. Opponents say the goal is to put the abortion clinics out of business. McAuliffe (pictured) has also appointed five new members of the State Board of Health.
Lawyers for Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev are due in court on Tuesday to seek a new trial for their client, who was sentenced to death in June for the 2013 bomb attack that killed three people and injured more than 260.
