Fluvanna Supervisor Speaks Out Against Higher Tax Rate

Fluvanna Supervisor Speaks Out Against Higher Tax Rate

A Fluvanna supervisor hopes his county won’t increase the real estate tax rate by 8.5 cents. Bob Ullenbruch opposes increasing the rate to 88 cents for every $100 assessed value. Ullenbruch says an 11% increase cannot be justified. He says many of the supporters of the tax hike work for the Fluvanna school system. Ullenbruch and Donald Weaver voted against advertising the higher rate. The Fluvanna supervisors will hold a public hearing April 9th on the proposed increase. They’ll take a vote one week later.
