City Firefighters Hold Open House For Fontaine Avenue Facility

Charlottesville firefighters and other public safety personnel are celebrating their new fire station and training center in the 2400-block of Fontaine Avenue. Fire Chief Charles Werner (pictured) loves the fact the building can be used for training functions any time of the year and in all types of weather. He says it will greatly improve his department’s response times to fires in the Fry’s Spring neighborhood and along Jefferson Park Avenue.
