CAT Director: Some Stores Benefit From Route Changes

The man who runs Charlottesville Area Transit says he’s made it easier for bus riders to get to grocery stores. John Jones says this year’s route changes have affected the traffic volume for some stores. Jones says bus riders who live on Routes 4 and 6 had no direct access to grocery stores until CAT reconfigured the routes on January 4th. He suspects it’s added to the business of the Food Lion in Willoughby Square at the expense of the Pantops Food Lion.
