The death of two dogs that were found hanging by their leashes in a Staunton kennel has been ruled as accidental. Staunton Police spokeswoman Jennifer Stevens says three dogs escaped from the kennel on May 4th after high winds lifted the structure and then dropped it on its side. A 14-year-old neighbor caught two dogs and secured them to the kennel with retractable leashes, then left the scene. The dogs were hanged when high winds lifted the kennel upright later in the day. No charges were filed.
