Washington Post: Goodwin Gave McDonnell Golf Vacation

Federal prosecutors have filed new documents that deal with gifts for former governor Bob McDonnell and his family. The Washington Post says McDonnell received an expensive island vacation two years ago. The Post says it came from Bill Goodwin, the vice-rector of the UVA Board of Visitors. The newspaper quotes unnamed prosecutors who say Goodwin (pictured with his wife) paid for McDonnell and his family to go to a golf resort in South Carolina, and McDonnell failed to disclose the gift. The former Governor and his attorneys say McDonnell did follow state disclosure laws that they say are vague and open to interpretation.
